check it out!
rosellini sweets has made the cover of the Seattle Metropolitan Bride and Groom magazine! check it out! september issue!
i am so excited!
i am also excited about some of my new goods. now available for your eating pleasure...
fauxstess twinkies and cupcakes!!! delicious dark chocolate cake pumped full of creamy vanilla filling, dipped in bittersweet ganache and finished with a little white chocolate detail..or moist buttermilk cake "canoe" piped full of creamy vanilla filling.
they are sooooo good...it's almost wrong. what a great way to celebrate 70's style!
i am also stocking the cupboards with a variety of delicious hand made jams and butters. they make great gift, and i have to say, once you've had hand made jams, it's hard to have anything else. just finished a batch of italian plum butter, made with the plums that my boys and i harvested(thank you jon and lesli for letting us clean your tree!) hand picked blackberries and raspberries too!
okay, that's all for now..
go get that magazine!

new cake
i just mastered the most beautiful cake! i urge anyone that might have a love for both coconut and lemon to try the new
coconut and lemon curd cake. the greatness of the buttermilk coconut cake layered with sweet tangy lemon curd and buttermilk frosting, finished with coconut on top. oh my, it's really, really good...
robin, thanks for the comment! it is a small city we live in, eh?
tes and jasons' wedding was amazing. 12 cakes, 4 flavors..it was beautiful. the georgetown studio has never looked so good.
it was a great time. thanks tes and jason!

little cupcakes
i passed the crumb cupcake store and headed straight to the new york cake and baking store. i drooled over everything and then spent my life savings on all those things that i can get in seattle, but had to have now! little scrapers, cupcake wraps, super cute little false bottom pans...i can't control myself when it comes to baking equipment.
i really wanted to do more taste tests, but i guess it will have to wait until next time.
most of these places use a cooked flour and butter frosting that i don't like..i like just straight pure sweet cream butter, a little sugar and vanilla...mmmmmm.

artisan event at the georgetown ballroom 1/10/10
It was amazing! the food was amazing, the music, all the talent together in the Georgetown Ballroom!
Annette with Luxe! Wedding design knows how to put together a wonderful group of talented local artisans and make it a great party! I was so proud to be part of it all. That was my first event, going public with my love of cake, and I really can't imagine having done it in any other way than with Luxe and the Georgetown Ballroom.
